Hamilton’s Dewitt Road repairs expected to wrap up late December

Repairs on Dewitt Road in Stoney Creek are expected to wrap up late December after a rockfall closed the road back in May.

Road work officially started Monday, focusing on culvert replacement, asphalt paving and escarpment stabilization work.

Dewitt Road will remain closed in both directions for at least another eight weeks. Ridge Road will also be closed between Third Road East and Tapleytown Road.

City staff are warning residents about noise, dust and restricted traffic movement during this time.
