Hamilton police arrest wanted Belleville man as part of human trafficking investigation

Hamilton police arrested a 33-year-old man from Belleville Thursday morning, who was wanted as part of a human trafficking investigation.

Officers charged Ebunoluwa Tomiwa, who also goes by the name “Boon,” for offences including trafficking in persons, procuring for sexual services, trafficking of persons for material benefit and for withholding documents.

Tomiwa is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and encourage anyone who may have information, or who believes they may have been victimized, to come forward and speak with police.
