Red Hill Valley Parkway closure rescheduled to Sept. 24 – 28

The City of Hamilton has rescheduled the Red Hill Valley Parkway (RHVP) closure to Sept. 24 – 28 due to forecasted weather conditions.

The closure was originally scheduled for Sept. 17 – 21.

The RHVP will now be fully closed in both directions between Mud and Barton streets from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., weather permitting.

The closure will allow crews to complete roadway rehabilitation, safety improvements and general infrastructure maintenance.

Residents can expect signed detour routes to be in place and Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) service to detour during this closure.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, use alternate routes during this time and expect delays and increased traffic on surrounding roads.
