Everything you need to know about Lincoln’s 2026 municipal election

Lincoln residents will go to the polls to cast their votes for the town’s next mayor and other municipal officials on Oct. 26, 2026.

More information on voting in Lincoln and key dates can be found on the town’s website.

Lincoln’s Mayor Sandra Easton will not be seeking her fourth term.

In August 2025, the Town of Lincoln made changes to their ward structure. Instead of the four ward system, Lincoln will shift to only three wards with two councillors representing each ward.

Lincoln officials say the goal of the restructuring is enhancing representation. However, as a result of having fewer council members, they say the change will result in modest cost savings.

The deadline to submit or withdraw nominations was Aug. 21 at 2 p.m.

Candidates are listed alphabetically by last name alongside a brief bio. This page will be updated regularly as the race develops, and individual ward candidate lists will follow the same format.

Lincoln’s mayoral race

Cheryl Keddy-Scott is the founder and CEO of Village of Hope Niagara. Her platform focuses on accountability, responsible growth, community votes and strong leadership.
Greg Reimer has been the Ward 4 councillor since 2018. His platform focuses largely on ensuring residents have reliable and resilient power.
Adam Thomas Russell has been the Ward 1 councillor since being elected in 2018. Russell’s platform focuses on transparency, infrastructure investment, financial accountability, development and more.
