Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are launching their traffic safety initiative for the Labour Day long weekend, maintaining a visible presence across Haldimand County.

Beginning on Friday until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, officers will focus on driving behaviours most commonly associated with serious and fatal collisions.

This includes speeding, dangerous driving, impaired driving and seatbelt compliance.

As residents and visitors travel throughout the holiday weekend, Haldimand County OPP encourages everyone to slow down, stay alert and make safe choices behind the wheel.
