Welland man arrested for child sexual abuse and exploitation material

A Welland man has been arrested for accessing and possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

Niagara police executed a search warrant at a local residence on Aug. 27 in an investigation that began in April.

As a result of digital forensic evidence, the service’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit arrested David Ryan Jones on Sept. 3.

Jones, 24, was scheduled for a bail hearing on Thursday at a courthouse in St. Catharines.
