Hamilton North End arena set to reopen after temporary closure

Eastwood Arena in Hamilton’s North End is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 21 after temporarily closing in April.

The City of Hamilton completed a number of repairs on the roof, walls, lighting and shower drains and replaced the boiler and sump pump.

The City says the structure is approaching the end of its useful service life.

A report will be brought forward to city council later this year to assess the building’s future and the level of investment needed to maintain it.
