Police recovered over 1,000 grams of suspected cocaine worth over $100,000 and tens of thousands in cash after executing search warrants at two addresses in the Niagara area on Monday.

Niagara police searched addresses on McArthur Lane in Thorold and Willowlanding Court in Welland and arrested and charged Ismail Ahmed, 30, of Mississauga and Chantal Fournier, 35, of Welland on various drug possession and trafficking charges.

The investigation began in July in St. Catharines.
