Motorcyclist dead after single-vehicle crash in Wainfleet

Niagara police say a 40-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Wainfleet at the end of last month.

On July 25 at around 10:15 a.m., officers responded to the area of Golf Course Road near Churchill Avenue for a motor vehicle collision involving a single motorcycle.

Investigators say a male driver was travelling northbound on Golf Course Road when he failed to negotiate a turn in the road and became involved in a crash.

Police say the driver was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) has taken over the investigation.
