Hamilton police ID man, 21, fatally stabbed overnight Sunday

Hamilton police have identified a 21-year-old man who was fatally stabbed overnight Sunday.

Officers say Zenin Roussel of Hamilton and an unspecified number of suspects got involved in an altercation outside of King Billiards and Sports Bar on King Street West, near Paradise Road North, after the establishment closed.

Around 2:30 a.m., a taxi driver travelling on Main Street West near Frid Street found Roussel with stab wounds.

He was rushed to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

No suspect descriptions have been released at this time.

Hamilton police say Roussel’s family has been notified and has asked for privacy as they grieve this tragic loss.

The Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that may assist with the investigation is asked to contact Det. Alex Buck at 905-546-4123.

Those with a dash camera or video from the area between 2 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. are asked to check their cameras.
