Port Colborne moves Canal Days fireworks to Monday evening

Severe weather on Sunday forced Port Colborne to push the Canal Days fireworks and Boat Parade of Lights to Monday evening.

The fireworks display is scheduled at 10 p.m., with the Boat Parade of Lights taking place beforehand at 9 p.m.

Visitors planning to attend Monday evening’s fireworks are asked not to arrive before 7 p.m.to allow vendors to safely remove equipment from West Street.

Pedestrian access to the downtown festival grounds will be restricted between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. while vendor load-out is underway.

Empire Sandy will offer a rescheduled fireworks cruise on Monday evening.

Priority access will go to guests who purchased tickets for the original Sunday evening fireworks cruise. This will allow them to move their tickets to the rescheduled cruise.
