Video shared of Niagara Falls homicide suspects wanted on Canada-wide warrants

Niagara police released surveillance video Friday of two suspects wanted on Canada-wide warrants for the shooting death of a 35-year-old man in Niagara Falls last week.

The video shows 23-year-old Maroof Bangi and 30-year-old Josta Grace MacNeal crossing a grassy area before walking onto a porch and attempting to enter a building. It is unclear where or when the video was taken.

The pair is wanted for the alleged second-degree murder of Mitchell Snoddon, who was shot on July 16 at a home on Thorold Stone Road near Dorchester Road. He died of his injuries in hospital.

Bangi is seen in the video wearing sunglasses, a red bandana, white T-shirt, and dark pants and shoes. Police describe him as being five-foot-six tall with a skinny build and dark skin.

The video shows MacNeal wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, baggy blue sweatpants and white shoes. She is described as having dark brown hair, brown eyes and has a distinctive feather tattoo on the left side of her neck.

Bangi and MacNeal initially fled the crime scene in a white 2022-26 Nissan Rogue SUV. Two days later, Niagara police said the Nissan Rogue was recovered and the suspects were instead driving a black 2021 Mazda CX5.

The next day, detectives said they found the Mazda CX5.

Investigators determined on July 21 that Bangi and MacNeal were driving a 2016 Toyota Camry on Highway 45 in Hastings, Ont., but that vehicle was also recovered the following day by local police in Saint Eustache, Que.

Niagara police say it is currently unknown whether the suspects are operating a new vehicle.

The pair is considered armed and dangerous as officers have not yet recovered the firearm used in this shooting.

Detectives believe Bangi and MacNeal may try to change their appearance to avoid detection, including altering facial hair, hair length or colour, makeup, and clothing style.

If spotted, do not approach and call 911.
