SUV in Niagara Falls fatal shooting recovered, suspects now in different car

Niagara police say that two suspects wanted in a fatal shooting in Niagara Falls last week are now driving another car.

On Sunday, police recovered the Mazda CX5 tied to the Thursday shooting.

Police have identified Maroof Bangi, 23, and Josta Grace MacNeal, 30, as the two suspects involved in the second-degree murder.

Detectives with Niagara police’s homicide unit say that Bangi and MacNeal are now operating a 2016 Toyota Camry with Ontario licence plate DFWX 808.

The vehicle was last seen on Highway 45 in Hastings, Ont.

It has LED headlights and damage on the passenger side front and rear doors, and a large crack on the front driver’s side bumper.

Around 8:40 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a residence on Thorold Stone Road near Dorchester Road for reports of a man who had been shot.

Investigators found that two suspects visited the residence and shot the victim with a handgun.

The man was identified as Mitchell Snoddon of Niagara Falls. Snoddon was taken to hospital where he later died.

Detectives believe the suspects may take steps to alter their appearance to avoid detection, including changing their facial hair, length or colour of hair, makeup and clothing styles.

MacNeal is known to have a distinctive feather tattoo located on the left side of her neck.

Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous as no firearm has been recovered in this incident.

Officers advise the public to not approach the duo and to call 911 if either of them is spotted.
