One man in critical condition after car crashes into downtown Hamilton bus shelter

Hamilton police say a man in his 30s is in critical condition after a car drove into a bus shelter at the corner of Dundurn Street and King Street West.

Investigators add that a woman believed to be her 20s was transported to hospital with traumatic injuries but is in stable condition.

Police say on X that the collision happened around 5:16 p.m.

A spokesperson told CHCH News that other people were assessed for injuries but refused transport.

All roads in the area are currently closed.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area and use other routes.
