Hamilton police are investigating after reports of a late night shooting in the city’s east end Wednesday.

Officers say they responded to a call regarding shots being fired in the area of Strathearne Avenue and Dunsmure Road at around 11:45 p.m. The area is not far from the traffic circle on Main Street East.

Investigators say they found a number of shell casings.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Anyone with information or surveillance video is asked to contact police.
