Hamilton police are investigating after reports of a late night shooting in the city’s east end Wednesday.

Officers say they responded to a call regarding shots being fired in the area of Strathearne Avenue and Dunsmure Road at around 11:45 p.m.

The area is not far from the traffic circle on Main Street.

Investigators say they found a number of shell casings in the area.

They say there are no reported injuries related to the incident at this time.

Anyone with information or surveillance video is asked to contact police.
