The road near Upper Wellington Street near Sirente Drive has reopened after a crash Tuesday night injured both drivers, sending one of them to hospital for serious injuries.
Hamilton police say at around 11:16 p.m., two vehicles were involved in a collision in the area involving a white Nissan SUV and a white Honda Accord.
They say the driver of the Honda, a 19-year-old Hamilton man, sustained minor injuries, but the driver of the Nissan, a 58-year-old woman from Hamilton, was sent to hospital with critical injuries.
Police say she remains in critical, but stable condition.
Detectives temporarily closed the road Wednesday morning to investigate the cause of the crash before reopening it at around 8 a.m.
They did not comment on contributing factors at this time.
