Ontario Provincial Police say Rainham Road is closed in Dunnville after a three-vehicle collision involving a tanker truck and two sedans left two people injured.
OPP say the drivers of both sedans sustained injuries, with one suffering serious injuries and the other minor injuries. The tanker truck driver remains uninjured.
Emergency services responded to the scene around 7 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Rainham Road and Haldimand Road 50.
Police say one of the sedans was travelling northbound on Haldimand Road 50 and ran a stop sign.
“The road closure remains in effect and is expected to continue for some time. Please continue to respect all road closure signs and avoid the area while emergency crews and investigators remain on scene,” OPP says.
Officers are advising drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes as diesel is leaking in the area because of the crash.
