A small stretch of road in Stoney Creek has been closed since Sunday night for debris clean-up following a minor rock and mudslide.
Dewitt Road, a one-way road, is closed from Dundee Drive to Ridge Road in the area of Fruitland Road. Crews are working to clear away fallen rocks and trees that are blocking the roadway.

The closure was implemented shortly after 8 p.m., according to a post from Hamilton police, and city engineers are currently at the scene assessing the damage.
Hamilton Coun. Jeff Beattie posted on Instagram Sunday night about the closure and told CHCH News that he has requested additional signage on Highway 8 to inform drivers of the closure on Dewitt Road.
According to Hamilton police, the road will reopen when the rock wall in the area is stabilized.
There were no injuries or damage to property in the rockslide.
