Hamilton police are investigating a shooting in Stoney Creek and are looking to the community for information.
On Monday, just before 8:30 p.m., Hamilton police responded to multiple reports of gunshots in the area of Highgate Drive and Upper Centennial Parkway.
Officers attended a townhouse complex on Highgate Drive, where they located a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the shooting involved occupants of a dark-coloured sedan, which fled the area just after the incident. The vehicle was last seen travelling eastbound on Highgate Drive before turning southbound onto Upper Centennial Parkway.
Police believe the incident was targeted.
Detectives are asking residents, businesses, and drivers who were travelling in the area of Upper Centennial Parkway and Highgate Drive between 7:50 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Monday, to review any dash camera, residential, or commercial surveillance footage that could help.
