Hamilton police’s homicide unit is now investigating the death of a man who was hit by a car in the city’s west end Monday night.

On York Boulevard earlier this week, a 25-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle involved in an “interaction” with people in another vehicle near the Royal Botanical Gardens.

According to The Hamilton Spectator, homicide detectives are going over evidence to see if more charges should be laid.

A 29-year-old man is already facing charges of dangerous driving causing death and failing to stop.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area of York Boulevard and Plains Road around 8:30 p.m. Monday, to contact them.
