Westbound lanes on Hamilton’s Linc reopen after pedestrian struck

Hamilton police say they’re investigating a death on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway near the Garth Street overpass.

Police were called to the scene just before 7 a.m. Thursday after a pedestrian was struck in the westbound lanes.

Westbound lanes on the Linc between Upper James and Garth streets reopened just after 3:30 p.m., following an investigation in the area.

Officers posted on X thanking drivers for their patience on this matter.

Police say the identity of the deceased will not be released and no further information is available at this time.
