NYT writer talks with CHCH about beloved children’s author Robert Munsch

Canadian author Robert Munsch is best known for the children’s books Love You Forever and The Paper Bag Princess, but he’s making headlines for an entirely different reason.
The Guelph resident was profiled in a New York Times piece this week about his dementia diagnosis in 2021. He told the Times he applied for Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) shortly after he was diagnosed and has been approved, but in the meantime, he will soon be publishing a new book.
CHCH News anchor Taz Boga spoke with Katie Engelhart, who wrote the New York Times story, and the types of reactions she received.
