Homicide detectives continue to search for missing Niagara man four years later

Niagara police say they haven’t given up their search for Darren Werner, who went missing four years ago today.

Werner was reported missing in 2021, and his current whereabouts remain unknown. His last known location was in the area of Townline Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake, where he was seen travelling in an unknown vehicle.

Police say the case remains open, and is being treated as a missing person investigation with suspicious circumstances.

The Homicide Unit is now leading the investigation, and detectives are appealing to the public for information regarding Werner’s disappearance.
