Officers say the lone occupant of the Volvo, a man, was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Detectives have ruled out intoxication as the cause but say their investigation is now focusing on whether speed or disobeying a stop sign were factors.

Police are asking anyone with dashcam or surveillance video from the area at the time to come forward. Additionally, witnesses to the crash are asked to share what they saw with police.
