Repeat federal offender wanted, frequents GTA

A federal offender who frequents the Greater Toronto Area is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant as a result of a breach of his statutory release.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is asking for the public’s help in finding Sheldon Eriya who is serving a five-year sentence for aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm with intent and possession of drugs for trafficking.

Eriya is described as a Black man, 28 years of age, 6’2” (188 cm), 190 lbs (86 kgs) with black hair and dark eyes. He often has facial hair in the form of a goatee or beard and has two tattoos: ‘Jose’ above his left eyebrow and kids’ faces and flowers on his upper left arm.

The offender is known to frequent the GTA, specifically Markham and Toronto area.
