MIT decides Avril Lavigne most famous Canadian

Researchers at MIT have compiled a list of the top ten most famous Canadians of all time.

The study used data on Canadians from 4000 B.C. to 2010 who had a Wikipedia entry in over 25 languages.

The list:

5. Pamela Anderson
6. Leonard Cohen
7. Michael J Fox
8. Bryan Adams
