The price of gas has increased three cents a litre over the past two days.
After rising 1.3 cents yesterday, prices at the pumps are up another 1.7 cents a litre today. A litre of regular unleaded at most stops across Southern Ontario is selling in a range near $1.29.
The price hikes are attributed to a drop in inventories in the U.S. and a spike in crude oil prices. Crude is above $100 a barrel, due to worries of potential supply disruptions in the Suez Canal because of the political instability in Egypt.
