U.S. retailer set to open in Canada in 2013.
Today’s announcement confirms the first 125 stores that will open in 2013, including 49 in Ontario.
Since the start of the year, Target’s been publicly confirming the Zellers stores it intends to convert for next year.
In addition to these previously announced locations, Target will also open a store on Morrison Street in Niagara Falls, Ontario and Centre Laval in Quebec, both of which are slated to open next year.
Each site will be closed for between six to nine months for extensive renovations with more than $10-million spent remodeling each location.
Later this year Target will confirm more locations that’ll open starting in early 2014 and beyond.
