Higher home heating costs expected

We could be hit with higher heating costs this winter.

Environment Canada’s Senior Climatologist Dave Phillips warns this winter will be colder than usual in most of Canada.

The National Energy Board says if that happens, there will be higher demand for natural gas, home heating fuel, and electricity — putting upward pressure on the prices of those commodities.
