Insurgents fire rockets around U.S. embassy in Afghanistan

The U.S. embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan is under attack.

Insurgents are firing rockets at the building as gun battles shake the city’s downtown and diplomatic quarter, police officials say.

A large group of gunmen are said to be firing from positions in a tall office building under construction nearby.

Heavy blasts and gunfire have been hear throughout the area, which is home to the American and other embassies.
