Ontario is reporting 807 new COVID-19 cases Friday and six more deaths related to the virus.

The Ministry of Health says three of the deaths being reported today occurred over the last seven days and the remaining happened more than a week ago.

The data is based on more than 28,786 tests completed on the previous day.

The province says 43,855 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24-hour period for a total of more than 20.8 million.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says 83.3 per cent of Ontarians aged 12 and older have received one dose and nearly 76.8 per cent have two doses.

There are currently 169 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illnesses and 105 on ventilators.

The province says of those in hospital, 245 are unvaccinated individuals, 25 are partially vaccinated and 46 are fully vaccinated.

Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least six are in an outbreak including Clarion Nursing Home in Stoney Creek and Hampton Terrace Care Centre in Burlington.

An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
