Vegetable noodles recalled due to Listeria concerns

A brand of vegetable noodles is being recalled over concerns it may be contaminated with harmful bacteria.

Freshline Foods Ltd. is recalling Veggie Foodle brand Whole Vegetable Noodles from the marketplace due to Listeria concerns.

The recall includes 340-gram containers with best before dates of Aug. 26 and Aug. 28.

They were sold in Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, and possibly nationally.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the product.

The recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.
