Halton Region is expanding COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to include residents 75 years and older and Indigenous adults 55 and older starting Friday.

The booking system will allow eligible residents to book an appointment in March and April.

“This is another important step in our plan to get our most vulnerable Halton residents vaccinated as quickly as possible, as supplies are available,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr.

There are vaccination clinics in Burlington, Halton Hills, Oakville and Milton. Residents can also book at the COVID-19 Vaccination Centre at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

Vaccinations are by appointment only, walk-ins will not be accepted.

Residents can book their appointments through the online system or by calling 311.

The region is also offering free transportation to those that need it, free of charge.
