A new COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Juravinski Hospital.
Hamilton Public Health declared the outbreak in Unit F5 on Sunday.
There are four patients who have tested positive for the virus. They say the tests have screened positive for a variant of concern.
This is the second outbreak declared at the hospital in a week.
Public health declared an outbreak in the F3 unit on Friday. There are 16 patient and six staff cases there. No variant has been detected.
There is also now a second COVID-19 outbreak at Hamilton General Hospital. This one was declared on Friday in the hospital’s 8 West unit.
There are six patient and one staff case there.
An outbreak was declared in the 5 West unit with a total of 25 cases of the virus.
Hamilton Health Sciences says the units that are in outbreak are closed to admissions and no visitors will be allowed except on compassionate grounds.
