Heat putting hydro under pressure

The heat wave continues.

The temperatures have been so high across Southern Ontario that heat alerts and advisories in many municipalities have now reached their highest levels. In the city of Hamilton, the Medical Officer of Health has now declared a “stage 3” heat alert in response to the soaring thermometer, and a 40-plus humidex.

And the hotter it gets, the more power we use. That’s putting pressure on our electricity grid. Lisa Hepfner has that story.
