Premier Kathleen Wynne says she’s not scared of a possible election.
Speaking in Waterloo earlier today, Wynne says she wants to sit down with NDP leader Andrea Horwath to discuss her request for a financial accountability office.
“I have said repeatedly that I’m willing to have that meeting, have that conversation with Andrea Horwath, but we’re not starting from scratch… and if the threat is that there will be an election, you know what, I have said all along that we’re doing our level best, but if the opposition determines that they are going to pull the trigger and trigger an unnecessary election, that is their prerogative.”
Horwath is asking that the financial accountability office act as a spending and revenue watchdog for the government.
