More money for GO Transit

Southern Ontario is getting a fresh investment in the GO Transit service.

Ottawa is pledging more than $94 million to GO Transit.

Public and private funding will boost the commuter rail line east of Toronto and build a maintenance facility for GO trains.

Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said the funding is a “big win” for commuters.

The project is expected to create up to 400 full time job’s when it’s completed.
