Updated It has been a chaotic and dangerous day on the Niagara-bound QEW.

Two separate crashes have shut down all southbound lanes, and two people have been airlifted to hospitals with serious – perhaps even life-threatening injuries. The first happened just before ten this morning – and that’s where Scot Urquhart picks up the story:
