Bank thief nabbed

Niagara police have nabbed the woman they believe was responsible for robbing three Scotiabank branches in St. Catharines.

A woman walked into the Scotiabank on Ontario Street Friday morning demanding cash from the teller.

She then fled across the street.

Police arrested the woman and man believed to be her accomplice a short distance away.

It’s believed to be the same woman who robbed the Scotiabank branches on Welland Avenue and St. Paul Street days earlier.

Police have not yet released the names of the couple and the charges against them.
