OPP will enforce safety on the roads and waterways

Last year during the Labour day weekend, eight people were killed on highways and waterways in Ontario.
With one summer long weekend left and kids about to start a new school
year, the OPP are set to do everything within their means and available
resources to keep the year-to-date fatality and injury statistics as low as
possible.
The OPP will be highly visible on highways, roads, lakes, rivers and
trails targeting impaired drivers, distracted drivers, aggressive drivers and
those who are not in compliance with restraint laws.
This weekend Provincial police will be watching for aggressive drivers or impaired drivers, street racers and those not wearing seat belts.
Police are reminding drivers it is against the law to use cell phones and other devices while driving a car.
