Pro hockey’s coveted prize will be in Dunnville this weekend.
The Stanley Cup is being brought Central Park by Nathan Horton, who was born in Welland but raised in Dunnville.
So far, a parade and live music have been planned.
The former Thorold Blackhawk, now with the Boston Bruins, missed most of the final with a concussion.
What makes the visit even more special is the fact the Bruins gave Horton the first chance to handle the Cup.
Teammate Dan Paille’s day is July 27th when it comes to Welland.
The Bruins forward plans to take it aboard the Maid on the Mist before taking part in a City Hall ceremony at noon.
Paille’s also expected to go to Welland Arena where fans can have their picture taken with him and the Cup.
