Woman shot last night in Oakville, police investigating

First Published:

A woman was sent to hospital after being shot at a residence on The Greenery in the Sixth Line and Munn’s Avenue area of Oakville around 2:40 a.m. last night.

Police say it was likely a targeted incident and there is no evidence to suggest a public safety threat.

The 26-year-old woman was transported to the Hamilton General hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Reports suggest she was shot three times in the back but CHCH News have not been able to confirm that with police at this time.

Multiple bullet holes can be seen in the front door of the home.

Police will remain in the area today and ask anyone with information to contact 905-825-4777 ext. 2215 or ext. 2216 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

CHCH News will continue to follow the story and update with the latest during the Evening News at 6:00 p.m.
