Trump reviews China trade deal for magnets, rare earth minerals

U.S. President Donald Trump says his country’s trade deal with China is done.

The president is reportedly reviewing the details with his team before signing on the dotted line, but has said China will supply the states with magnets and rare earth minerals, and the U.S. will maintain a 55 per cent tariff.

The deal comes as the U.S. auto manufacturing sector was starting to feel the pinch, as China had stopped shipping important car parts.
