California Governor Newsom urges Americans to ‘stand up’ against Trump amid LA protests

As the National Guard and Marines remain activated to manage protests in Los Angeles, California Governor Gavin Newsom is urging Americans to “stand up” against President Donald Trump.

In a video released Tuesday night, Newsom fashioned himself as somewhat of a leader to a nationwide resistance to Trump’s administration, saying the impact of what’s going on in LA will have far-reaching impacts.

What has become a fight on the streets and in the courts continues to press on into its sixth day.
