Report reveals Canada’s stealth fighter costs from U.S. increased nearly 50%

Canada’s plan to purchase 88 American-made stealth fighter jets has gotten a lot more expensive.

A new report from the auditor general shows the cost of the new fleet has exploded by nearly 50 percent and is marred by delays and a shortfall of qualified pilots.

This comes as Canada is reconsidering its purchase and is looking elsewhere amid tensions with Washington.
