Suspect in Brampton homicide, child abduction killed in officer-involved shooting in Niagara Falls

An abduction-related manhunt across southern Ontario concluded with a fatal end. Authorities say a suspect linked to a homicide investigation in Brampton was shot dead in the Niagara Region following an amber alert that was issued before the series of events. The APB went out for a one-year-old girl and was then canceled later in the day after authorities confirmed she was safe. However, the alleged child abduction happened after the suspect in question shot a woman, who is said to be the child’s mother.
