Powerful snowstorm triggers orange alert across southern Ontario

A massive winter snowstorm has blanketed much of southern Ontario and parts of Quebec. Travel delays, flight cancellations, and warnings from officials to avoid non-essential travel are in effect. As the system intensified overnight, alert levels were raised from yellow to orange, Environment Canada’s second-highest colour-coded warning.
