VIDEO: Cuba’s fuel shortage is deepening by the day. Since mid-December the island hasn’t received crude or aviation fuel shipments from Venezuela, it’s main supplier, after the United States blocked those exports. Starting Tuesday, Cuban authorities are warning international airlines they’ll no longer be able to refuel on the island as the country rations what little it has left. On the ground locals are seeing the fuel rationing hit things like hospitals, transportation services, and even the power grid. Perhaps hardest hit right now is the country’s tourism industry, a crucial pillar of it’s service sector which makes up the majority of its GDP.
