Canada won’t rule out military role in Middle East

When asked directly about Canada’s role in the war in the Middle East, Prime Minister Mark Carney said the country cannot rule out military participation. Speaking to reporters alongside the Australian prime minister, Carney said the question of Canada’s possible involvement is a “fundamental hypothetical,” but that “one can never categorically rule out participation.” Carney has been asked about Iran multiple times during his trip to India and Australia, after saying he supports the U.S. action in Iran over the weekend.
